Overview
Ideal position for an organized and service-minded individual with a passion for health care and the desire to make a difference. The Donor Engagement Specialist will play a key role in the development and dissemination of donor facing materials and communications with an emphasis on impactful storytelling and help ensure the prominence and integrity of the Foundation voice and brand.
Day-to-day activities and responsibilities include:
- Working with Director of Donor Engagement to create and execute overarching content strategy for the Foundation for Morristown Medical Center.
- This includes the Foundation's annual donor Impact Report and Journal. Responsibilities include scheduling and conducting donor interviews, drafting and editing stories, securing approvals and documenting all in Raiser's Edge and working with the Director of Donor Engagement on layout and proofing
- Developing content and overseeing execution of collateral/print pieces, stewardship and fundraising email content, web, etc.
- This includes layout on the Foundation website CMS and MailChimp and coordination with design partners as necessary
- Creating compelling event remarks for Foundation and Morristown Medical Center/Atlantic Health leadership
- Helping to reinforce Foundation brand and voice with an eye for detail and editing
- Supporting Donor Engagement Coordinator with preparations for council meetings and events
- Assisting Donor Relations Manager with content development for endowment reporting and stewardship reports for select donors
- Managing planned giving communications in partnership with Stelter
- Creating social media content and reporting on engagement while making recommendations for optimizations
- Working with Director of Donor Engagement to oversee content development for donor acknowledgment program
- Assisting with special events and special projects as needed
Key Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite
- WordPress or comparable CMS
- MailChimp or comparable email marketing software
- Familiarity with social media content development and best practices and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong verbal communication, writing, proofing, organization and editing skills.
- Raiser's Edge experience a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Required.
Desired Experience
- Four years of related experience (marketing, communications, donor relations, fundraising/nonprofits or account management)
- Adept with innovating and collaborating in large, complex systems.
- Track record in managing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
