Shift: DaysPosition Summary:
Design, code and test web-based and other applications. Perform needs analyses and assessments to determine systems methodology best suited to end-user goals. Manage the analyst team within the assigned IT department. Conduct systems project planning. Manage projects and help define development standards. Provide mentoring and training on web-related technologies. Research new technologies and strategies to enhance web systems usage, efficiency and reliability. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. No patient care assignment.Detailed responsibilities:
* SUPERVISION - Develop efficient organizational structure, supervise employees - select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments; encourage staff teamwork and growth initiatives
* WEB - Design, code, test, and implement web and other applications using current standard methodologies
* CODE - Develop and maintain shared code libraries, graphics libraries, and database procedure/function packages
* CODE - Utilize shared library effectively
* NEEDS ANALYSIS - Communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical personnel to understand and define user needs, gather and analyze data and recommend solutions
* RESOURCES - Coordinate and collaborate with staff to ensure efficient usage of hardware and software resources
* SYSTEMS - Coordinate the analysis of data gathering and consider all available solutions or alternate solutions defining and proposing recommendations for implementation of application system and inter-system communications enhancements
* TRAINING - Collaborate with appropriate personnel on the training of IT and Hospitals personnel in new applications and changes to systems as applicable, including appropriate staff on all projects requiring training on existing or new systems
* PROCEDURE - Conduct the development, creation, maintaining and updating functional operating manuals and contingency plans outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with UNM Hospitals organizational policy
* STANDARDIZATION - Oversee UNM Hospitals hardware and software standardization efforts as appropriate and assigned
* INFORMATION - Compile and/or write all informational materials used for live on-air drives, pre-recorded campaigns, and fundraising special event promotions
* BUDGET - Assist in the management of budgets for the responsible area
* PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - Enhance professional growth and development through attendance at relevant conferences, seminars, workshops, in-services, behavioral health classes, meetings and reading professional journals and online articles
