Position Overview
The Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) Information Services (IS) Planning, Finance and Administration function encompasses: (1) the IS Planning Operations team, which provides intake, triage, and governance for IS project demands; (2) the IS Project Management Office (PMO) which provides oversight of project execution, project tool and standards, and project quality; (3) the IS Finance team, which handles IS financial budgeting, forecasting, and financial support; and (4) the IS Administration team which provides administrative support to IS leadership and assists with human resources and facilitates management.
The Project Quality Assurance (QA) Process Owner is an expert in the IS PMO who is responsible for (1) performing audit and reviews of the quality of all IS projects; (2) calculating Service Level Agreement (SLA) metrics; (3) assisting the BSWH IS Project Management Office with developing standards and tools; and (4) tracking overall project portfolio quality.
Job Duties
Key responsibilities for the Project QA Process Owner include:
· Performs audits and reviews of BSWH IS Projects.
· Creates and presents reports on project quality.
· Evaluates that project managers adhere to all IS PMO standards and tools.
· Assists IS PMO team with development of standards and tools.
· Assists in with the generation of artifacts, decisions, communications, metrics and reporting for the PMO.
· Calculates SLA metrics.
· Facilitates communications and training of changes in project management processes.
Performance Standards
Key attributes of a Project QA Process Owner candidate include:
• Core understanding of Project Management Institute (PMI) concepts and processes.
• Understanding of waterfall, agile, and hybrid project methodologies.
• People and team building skills.
• Organization and coordination skills.
• Detail oriented and a self-starter.
• Running effective meetings and getting buy-in and participation from executive leaders.
• Effectively working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of applications, IT technology and processes used in a healthcare setting.
• Basic financial and business acumen.
• Willingness to continually learn.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Prior experience for a successful Project QA Process Owner candidate includes:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Business, or related fields is required.
• Experience as a project manager in healthcare is required is preferred.

The Project QA Process Owner will report to the Director, IS Project Management & Operations within BSWH’s Information Services group.
