About this Position
ChristianaCare is searching for a Corporate Communications and Employee Engagement Coordinator to develop effective messaging and communication strategies for ChristianaCare's internal communications. This position will collaborate with system leadership, departments and stakeholders throughout the organization to support an informed, engaged workforce.
Working as a key contributor on the Communications team of the Department of External Affairs, the Corporate Communications and Employee Engagement Coordinator manages ChristianaCare's internal communications platform (CaregiverConnect) and the weekly email employee newsletter (Huddle Headlines). The individual in this role additionally develops and executes effective communications plans to support a wide variety of internal/employee communications needs.
This role involves management, development and daily publishing of internal communications, as well as proactive interaction with leaders and employee groups across the organization to identify opportunities and develop strategies for continuous improvement in employee communications. Some responsibilities include:
- Writes, edits and produces high-quality content to support diverse communications needs across a variety of channels for primarily employee audiences.
- Works at the direction of the Editorial Services Leader and in collaboration with other members of the team to produce compelling digital and print content.
- Holds primary responsibility for daily management and optimization of CaregiverConnect internal communications platform and other systemwide employee communications channels as needed (e.g., email, screensavers, etc.)
- Co-develops and executes engagement strategies for CaregiverConnect.
- Produces Huddle Headlines, ChristianaCare's weekly all-employee email newsletter.
Desired candidates will hold a Bachelor's Degree preferable in the field of communications, public relations, English or journalism. It is also required to have 2 - 3 years of corporate communications, public relations or journalism experience, with a demonstrated ability to write and edit compelling, impactful content and effective communications plans.
Experience in digital publications preferred as well as copy editing, proofreading and photo editing preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
