Brown University Health and Hasbro Children’s, the only pediatric tertiary care center in Rhode Island and the primary pediatric teaching facility for The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, is seeking a visionary and collaborative Division Director of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic and nationally recognized division comprised of nine board-certified pediatric hematologist-oncologists, six advanced practice providers, and a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, psychologists, and child life specialists. The division provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders and has a thriving fellowship program with three fellows.
Signature Programs Include: • Multidisciplinary Pediatric Oncology and Non-Malignant Hematology Practice • Long-Term Follow-Up Care for Childhood Cancer Survivors • Brown Health Hemostasis and Thrombosis Center (Pediatric and Adult) • Brown Health Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center (Pediatric and Adult) • Participation in national and regional clinical trials through the Children’s Oncology Group, Dana Farber ALL Consortium, and early phase trials • Leadership in bleeding disorders and international sickle cell disease clinical research
The Division Director is an endowed chair position and will oversee clinical operations, faculty development, strategic planning, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration. The role includes active participation in medical education through core curriculum, electives, and residency training, as well as engagement in translational and clinical research at the Legorreta Cancer Center of Brown University
