The Payroll Supervisor oversees daily payroll operations, leading staff to ensure accurate and timely compensation for all employees. This role partners with HR, Accounting, and IT to maintain compliance, resolve issues, and drive process improvements. The role fosters a collaborative team environment, provides training and performance feedback, and ensures departmental goals are met.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Bachelor`s Degree in a related field (Preferred)
Experience
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with a large, multi-state, hospital payroll, with an ERP system such as Infor, Workday, or Oracle. (Required)
Five (5) years of experience with automated time and attendance system such as UKG or API. (Required)
Two (2) years of experience in a Payroll supervisory or administrator role. (Required)
Five (5) years of experience with Payroll general ledger accounting. (Required)
Five (5) years of experience with Payroll reporting. (Required)
Five (5) years of experience with tax payments and filing. (Required)
Certifications
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) (Preferred)
Special Skills
Ability to work in a high volume environment and meet strict deadlines. (Required)
Knowledge of payroll practices and procedures as they relate to a healthcare organization. (Required)
Working knowledge of State and Federal Labor laws. (Required)
Strong MS Excel skills. (Required)
Ability to follow oral and written directions. (Required)
Ability to work with diverse groups of employees and departments. (Required)
Demonstrated ability to interact with people throughout the organization in technical explanations about payroll issues. (Required)
