Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing and closing projects according to project timelines. This role requires excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills to oversee the full project lifecycle and ensure project goals are achieved efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Independently leads, motivates and manages project teams ensuring clear roles and responsibilities for medium to highly complex projects.
2. Collaborates with stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables.
3. Ensures efficient use of resources while maintaining project quality standards.
4. Coordinates tasks, monitor team progress, and resolve conflicts or challenges that arise.
5. Determines resource requirements (including staffing, software, hardware, and facilities) of projects, based on project specifications.
6. Plans and scopes all project phases and components ensuring projects are on schedule and within scope.
7. Works with project teams to define testing plans and to help organize testing phases and cycles if testing is required.
8. Identifies potential project risks and develops mitigation strategies.
9. Applies critical thinking to anticipate project challenges and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
10. Tracks project performance against the project plan and provides regular status reports to stakeholders, outlining progress, risks and any deviations from the plan.
11. Creates detailed project documentation such as; project plans, charters, SOWs, risk/issue logs, and meeting minutes.
12. Manages stakeholder expectations and communicates any issues, challenges or delays in a timely manner.
13. Develops and maintains an excellent working knowledge of Akron Children's Hospital IS and IS interoperability issues and opportunities.

Technical Expertise
1. Experience in project management methodology and project management software tools is required.
2. Experience managing large and/or multiple projects is required.
3. Strong problem-solving abilities and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines is required.
4. Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail is required.
5. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
6. Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to concisely present complex information to internal and external audiences is required.
7. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
8. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word] is required.
Education and Experience
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in related field is required; Master's degree is preferred.
2. Certification: PMP certification is required.
3. Years of relevant experience: 5 to 7 years is required. Workday implementation and Supply Chain experience preferred.
