The Anesthesia OR Clinical Support Manager, functions as a resource to anesthesia faculty, residents/fellows, and CRNAs.The Anesthesia OR Clinical Support Manager, is responsible as requested for ensuring the periodic performance checks, maintenance, and repairs of departmental anesthesia machines and other equipment is completed as required. The Anesthesia OR Clinical Support Manager, collaborates with the asset manager and the Business Intelligence team related to capital inventory for the anesthesia department. The ANESTHESIA OR CLINICAL SUPPORT MANAGER, ensures proper staffing of OR assistants, anesthesia techs, administrative assistants, and administrative analysts functions to meet the Main ORs needs. The ANESTHESIA OR CLINICAL SUPPORT MANAGER, completes performance evaluations and the assistance in the development of competencies on the OR assistants, anesthesia techs, admin support staff and equipment coordinators to meet the department needs. The ANESTHESIA OR CLINICAL SUPPORT MANAGER, participates in process improvement initiatives, and creates workflows to improve patient safety and quality metrics. The ANESTHESIA OR CLINICAL SUPPORT MANAGER, establishes training and education plans for staff. ANESTHESIA OR CLINICAL SUPPORT MANAGER, performs quality and safety rounds to ensure constant survey-readiness. ANESTHESIA OR CLINICAL SUPPORT MANAGER, also performs other duties associated with the Main OR.

Qualifications
Possesses working knowledge and ability to operate an IBM PC System, utilizing Windows program and Excel.
Skill in editing correspondence for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Skill in speaking clearly and distinctly using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
Skill in confidentially establishing and maintaining subject files.
Typing skills for preparing business correspondence with speed (60-70 wpm) and accuracy.
Knowledge of standard business letter and table format.
Knowledge of Operating Room procedures and surgical schedules.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes and or resources available for review
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees.
Skill in setting priorities that accurately reflect importance of job responsibility.
Knowledge of and adherence to UCLA Medical Center and Department policies and procedures.
Knowledge of and adherence to organizational structure.
