About the opportunity:
The Senior Healthcare Interface Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare interfaces between different healthcare systems and applications. They work with a team of systems analysts, vendors, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of healthcare IT projects.
What you will do:
Collaborate with healthcare vendors, systems analysts, and project managers to design and develop healthcare interfaces that enable seamless communication between different healthcare systems and applications.
Analyze business requirements and design technical solutions to meet them.
Develop and maintain interface specifications, design documents, and troubleshooting documents.
Implement, test, and deploy healthcare interfaces according to industry standards and best practices.
Troubleshoot interface issues and provide timely resolutions.
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for future interface development.
Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HL7, DICOM and FHIR.
Provide technical guidance and support to systems analysts and vendors throughout the interface development lifecycle.
Participate in project planning, estimation, and scheduling activities.
Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.

What you will need:
Experience:
5 years of experience in healthcare interface design and development.
7 years of experience with healthcare information systems, such as EHRs, practice management systems, and medical imaging systems.
Strong knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, HL7, DICOM, and FHIR preferred.
Proficiency in interface development tools and languages, such as Corepoint, Python, HL7, DICOM, SQL and FHIR preferred.
Must have a positive attitude, a motivation to learn new Healthcare IT / IS systems, and be self-motivated.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Corepoint level I and II certificates of completion preferred.
Computer / Typing:
Basic understanding or ability to obtain basic understanding of enterprise technology and ability to support these tools even outside of expertise; including but not limited to Windows, Operating Systems, Basic computer hardware skills.
Must have aptitude for understanding computer software and hardware. Must have the ability to instruct and teach others in software-related topics.
Basic knowledge of IT security and policies.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Must possess the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
