EOEPosition Information:
The Supervisor, Registration provides direct supervision of employees and oversees the daily operations in Cary Hospital Emergency Department Registration. Ensures accurate and timely documentation in hospital database for communication with Case Management, Health Information Management and Patient Financial Services. Provides information and documentation for physician billing when the electronic medical record system is down, oversees medical record reconciliation at completion of Emergency Department visit and maintains Emergency Department Registration work log. Maintains adequate staffing to meet patient volume. Models excellence in customer service while ensuring the timely and accurate registration and chart reconciliation. Demonstrates legal and ethical obligation to obtain necessary information to generate accurate and thorough bills for services rendered. Reports any possible abuse of compliance issues to management, the hospital compliance office, or the confidential compliance help line. Demonstrates knowledge of registration, patient access, and financial theoretical concepts and application. Assists the director in the supervision, coordination, and management of outpatient registration in the Emergency Department. Assists with the education programs, orientation and evaluation of new employees.Experience Requirements:
