EOEPosition Information:
The Director of Infection Prevention provides leadership and is responsible for the operational oversight for system wide activities and initiatives relating to Infection Prevention. Provides oversight for the management of the infection prevention programs at all designated WakeMed Health & Hospitals locations in collaboration with the Medical Director of Infection Prevention. Ensures alignment and standardization of programs, policies and procedures related to the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections. Oversees Infection Prevention staff and serves as the primary contact person for administrative issues related to Infection Prevention. Works in collaboration with senior leaders, management and staff, as well as Risk, Quality, and Accreditation to trend data and identify areas of opportunities for continuous improvement in preventing harm events. As the subject matter expert, facilitates compliance with standards of care for infection prevention for legal and regulatory requirements. Oversees the preparation and reports provided to the Infection Prevention and related committees and members of the executive leadership team.Experience Requirements:
5 Years Clinical - Infection Prevention and Control Required - And 2 Years Management - Direct Area of Responsibility PreferredEducation Required:
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required - And Master's Degree Required - And Public Health PreferredLicensure/Certification Requirements:
Registered Nurse Required - And Board Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology RequiredHours of Work:
