Overview
St. Luke's Health System seeks a Sr. Director, Payer Relations to join our team.
The Sr. Director, Payer Relations plays a critical role in the financial performance of SLHS, providing direct impact to the strategic direction of fee-for-service and payer contracting across SLHS geographies to secure and strenthen optimal contractual arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Develop overall SLHS fee for service payer strategy that optimizes SLHS reimbursement potential while strengthening SLHP market potential in value based and directed products.
- Maintains market and competitive environment knowledge and a strong working relationship with the payer community. Develop and maintains knowledge of where market is moving including but not limited to: assess competitor capabilities, assess payer landscape, and knowledge of broker community.
- Provides leadership to the contracting team and oversees payer contract compliance.
- Establish a system of market analysis of reimbursement and SLHS price positioning that enables SLHS to grow market share and receive adequate reimbursement.
- Ensures that Payers are complying with contract terms and overseeing SLHS contract audit program.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationship with payer community.
- Works to position the strategic affiliation in achieving annual and long terms goals regarding membership, financial performance, access, quality, service, and cost stability to members and employers.
- Lead initiatives that further St. Luke's and SelectHealth affiliation that improve the performance of the health plan including customer service initiatives, or sales and marketing initiatives. Excludes setting premiums and/or fee schedule information.
- Manage St. Luke's/SelectHealth Steering Committee governance structure and ongoing activities in accordance with contractual agreements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, marketing or business-related field
- Experience: 10 years' of relevant professional experience in health care management or closely related field
