Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant for Breast Surgery at Overlook Medical Center in Summit NJ. Some travel to Union, NJ.
Our entry level offers start at $21.10 / hour and increase based upon experience.
Reviews daily appointment schedule with provider and develops a plan for patient care activities.
Obtains Pre-Op paperwork, labs, referral consultation notes, and hospitalization and ED records prior to appointment.
Forwards clinical information to specialist at least 24hrs prior to scheduled appointment or procedure.
Processes lab letters, referrals and forms, and obtains prior authorizations for medications, referrals and tests per insurance requirements.
Tracks labs and referrals, scans and indexes appropriate documents, documents all communication with patient per EPIC standards.
Collaborates with team to accommodate same day requests, checks and responds to emails and pools daily.
Ensures work area is stocked with current forms for daily work and computer downtime.
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of required computer systems.
High School Diploma or GED required
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program and Certification.
1-2 years MA experience in Breast Surgery or a general surgery physician practice an
EPIC experience desired
Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, AMCA, NAHP, AMT, NCCT, or NHA required
