Fast growing subspecialty private physician-owned groupAdvanced Radiology Consultants of Kansas City, a dynamic, growing, modern private practice, subspecialty radiology group located in the Kansas City metropolitan area, is recruiting a director of finance and operations (DFO) due to recent practice expansion.
Job Summary
The DFO collaborates with board of physician shareholders as well as key employees and third party services to refine and optimize the operational structure in accordance with organizational philosophy and goals. This position manages day to day operations to support creative and cost-effective growth, while allowing the organization to continue providing accessible high quality care to our hospitals and community.
Key Responsibilities
- Tracks and evaluates financial and operational reports, ensuring operations meet high standards and operate in a manner that is ethical, efficient, and financially sound.
- Coordinates with Practice Administrative Director to examine and interface with accounting, billing, and banking services.
- Participates in the negotiation and monitoring of contracts while anticipating upcoming renewals, changes in payment, renegotiations, and termination.
- Evaluates, coordinates, and recommends new technologies and tools that meet needs for operational growth.
- Shows initiative in seeking, pursuing, and implementing new business while soliciting appropriate level of shareholder guidance and approval.
- Seeks potential practice recruits, coordinating subsequent candidate interviews and eventual onboarding.
- Assists physician shareholders with ongoing coordination and interactions with hospital administrators and department managers.
- Supervises and monitors scheduling in collaboration with key employees
Ideal Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/postgraduate degree preferred.
- Experience: Five years of business office management, financial, and billing with physician practices. Demonstrated experience as an operationally focused leader working effectively and collaboratively within a high-achieving environment.
