The Coder II applies ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes to patient accounts. This individual assigns codes to diagnoses in order to ensure proper financial reimbursement from insurance companies and government agencies. This individual ensures the accurate flow of information to Patient Financial Services and works with leaders to ensure correct information is sent to third-party payers. This individual primarily codes Inpatient accounts including Inpatient Obstetric and Newborn accounts.
Minimum Requirements:
* Certified Risk Coder (CRC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Associate (CCA) required
Preferred Qualifications:
* Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)* Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
