ChristianaCare is looking for a Community Educator to work with the Community Health Outreach and Education program to promote access to services, provide health education and assist community members in navigating the health care and social services systems, especially for individuals requiring assistance with cancer screenings, Screening for Life and Christiana Care Financial Assistance, financial assistance (other programs).
In this role, the Community Educator will establish and maintain professional relationships with community leaders, faith leaders and others responsible for providing services to the community. In addition, the educator will work directly with residents in Wilmington and New Castle County to plan and implement community health programs related to Lung Cancer.

Qualifications:
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
One-year community and patient experience required, more preferred.
Computer experience required.
Bi-lingual language skills are a plus.
Public speaking, group facilitation and excellent writing skills preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations required.
Special requirements:
Access to personal vehicle. Full time hours. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some nights/weekends as needed. Knowledge of New Castle County.
