The Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology is seeking a Gastroenterology Section Chief to oversee the division at Carilion Clinic and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia. The Chief will be responsible for leadership, management, and administration of the division across inpatient, outpatient, and endoscopic services, education, and research. The Chief is responsible for recruiting, physician staffing, workflows, and fiscal management of the division. Our gastroenterology fellowship began in 2013 along with a fourth-year unaccredited interventional fellowship. We have office locations in Roanoke and Christiansburg.
