OverviewAtlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant I for the Rheumatic Disease Physician Office in Morristown NJ .
Our entry level CMA offers start at $21.10 / hour and increase based upon experience.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Function/Responsibilities:
The Certified Medical Assistant I will be responsible for greeting and preparing for patients, managing patient flow, completing patient intake into EPIC system, and maintaining exam rooms including cleaning and keeping inventory/ordering supplies.
Administrative responsibilities will include managing phones and scheduling patients when needed, patient registration and check-in/out, handling patient prescriptions and pre-authorization for diagnostic testing as well as directing patients in all phases of their experience with the practice.
This position will require extended working hours for a Monday or Thursday late evening, and travel among all of our current and future sites.
QualificationsMinimum Education:
- High School Diploma required
- Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
Minimum Experience:
- Two years medical office experience preferred
- Experience with an EMR system desired (preferably EPIC)
- Strong computer skills and front-line customer service skills essential
- Ability to travel to different practices if necessary
- Able to work flexible hours if necessary to accommodate practice hours
License/Certification:
- Medical Assistant certification through AAMA, NRCMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT or NHA required
