JOB SUMMARY
This is an analyst role whose scope is the entity 2150 Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance. The main areas of work for this position include assistance with operating budget and long-range financial planning, monthly management reporting, ad hoc financial performance analysis, cash flow analysis, financial performance research, pro forma development, and support of a monthly accounting close process. Specific responsibilities will include:
Financial modeling
Pro Forma development
Monthly revenue and expense accrual development
Client Invoicing
Ad hoc financial performance models
Return on investment analysis
Maintaining fee schedules
Accounting re-class entries
Database queries using SQL
Quality Alliance financial performance research
Clinical performance compensation program support
Process and task documentation
This role will need a strong base of Excel knowledge, basic Finance concepts, the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to a non-financial audience, and a basic understanding of double entry accounting. This person will be detailed and can assess large amounts of financial data. An understanding of SQL queries, Smart Sheets, and Spreadsheet Server is a plus. An undergraduate degree is required, preferably with a finance and/or accounting focus. It is preferred that this person be familiar with the Healthcare Operations and basic Healthcare Financial concepts along with a basic understanding of healthcare reimbursement terminology. A basic understanding of Accountable Care Organizations and/or risk contracting is optimal.
Specific tasks include performance and ad hoc historical performance reports, support of information requests from a manager, research support, excel formulation and translation of data, preparing presentations, taking meeting minutes, depositing checks, verifying account balances, meeting attendance, visualizing financial performance, and adding to the knowledgebase and thought leadership of the finance department.
This is a hybrid position with some in-office attendance required.
