Coder Trainee
Job Summary: The Coder Trainee is an onsite entry level coding position that prepares trainees to apply ICD/CPT codes to diagnoses and procedures codes in patient medical records using the current International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and Health Care Financing Administration Common Procedures Coding System (HCPCS). Codes are then entered into a coding software for automated grouping. Does related work as required. Responsibilities: Demonstrates ability to learn processes and procedures related to the assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes Demonstrates ability to comprehend HCPCS, ICD and CPT coding classification systems Demons
