The Director of Business Development has responsibility for providing leadership for the development of the Hospital's business strategy, ensuring the successful implementation of tactical elements of the Hospital's business initiatives; considers new lines of business and/or seeks opportunities to enhance existing lines of business; develops strategic planning initiatives to address opportunities, critical issues and financial objectives that support overall hospital objectives and goals; develops, implements, and tracks business development plans; has primary accountability for human resource management, financial management, and quality management for department and programs within incumbent's responsibility in support of the mission, vision and strategic objectives of YRMC.
This individual provides vision, forward thinking and strategic planning in a proactive manner while being open-minded and creative in establishing a strategic direction; develops through an integration of ideas of those involved, an organized strategy to achieve both short and long term objectives for the department; effectively communicates strategy to obtain commitment by the responsible individuals; leads the strategic planning process for the respective department; ensures plans and objectives are integrated within the plans of the medical center; works with others in leadership as well as physicians to identify and evaluate programs and emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate will have the following: * Master's degree * LEAN/Six Sigma experience, a minimum of a Green Belt is preferred * Fellowship earlier in their career * Experience supporting Balanced Scorecard initiatives. * At least 3-7 years of experience in a similar role * Concreate examples of leading change/change management * Significant exposure to Behavioral Health, Population Health and Practice Acquisitions
Candidates must have the following: * Bachelor's Degree * At least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory role * At least five (5) years of related experience in healthcare
Work Schedule: 8-hours, Days, Monday through Friday
