Quality Program Analytics Developer III
Overview:
VBC Analytics is an independent organization covering BSW Health Plan (Payer) and BSW Quality Alliance (ACO Provider) analytical needs. Domain verticals connect directly to core stakeholders and operational structures while aligning with internal SMEs and current capacities. We have over 1 million lives across multiple blocks of business and industry-leading analytics to support our organization.
We seek a stakeholder-facing statistical analyst that will be responsible for the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of data to support the development and implementation of Clinical Excellence programs.
Partnering with their Manager, Team Lead, and peers to research and investigate current and new Clinical Excellence workflows with meaningful statistical findings and conclusions. This role offers support for internal Clinical Excellence department.
Primary Responsibilities:
The quality program analytics developer is primarily responsible for extracting, analyzing and interpreting data to support the development and implementation of care management programs.
· Collect and analyze data from a variety of sources, including electronic health records and claims data (40%).
- Conduct detailed analyses and interpret results to inform clinical excellence program development and evaluation (20%).
- Provide observations and recommendations based on analysis of patterns within the data to enhance the effectiveness of the clinical excellence department through written reports and presentations (15%).
- Assist internal customers to identify trend outliers, analyze trend driver and facilitate discussion for potential solutions (15%).
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends in clinical excellence program outcomes and quality improvement (10%).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in mathematics, statistics, or other quantitative disciplines.
- Ability to conduct analyses using statistical techniques including factor analysis, cluster analysis, statistical modeling, etc.
- Ability to work with complex data of varying levels of quality and validity.
- Experience working with healthcare data and statistical and analytics tools such as R, SAS, SQL or python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, or other quantitative disciplines.
· An expertise in statistical methodologies and modeling
· Solid foundation in SDLC methodologies – Agile and SCRUM. Certified Product Owner a major plus
· Experience with Snowflake
· Familiarity with HEDIS measurement and/or a HEDIS certified vendor

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following:
- Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics or other quantitative disciplines
- An expertise in statistical methodologies and modeling
- Solid foundation in SDLC methodologies – Agile and SCRUM
- Familiarity with Care Management and Health Outcome workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in mathematics, statistics, or other quantitative disciplines.
- 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification in lieu of Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of experience
- Ability to conduct analyses using statistical techniques including factor analysis, cluster analysis, association rules, propensity score matching, etc.
- Ability to work with complex data of varying levels of quality and validity.
- Experience working with healthcare data and statistical and analytics tools such as R, SAS, SQL or python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
