JOB SUMMARY
The Performance Improvement Engineer will guide and implement efforts to ensure that performance improvement (PI) programs are developed and managed using a data driven focus which sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participates and/or leads teams, work groups, projects, and activities designed to improve operational performance and processes
- Researches opportunities for performance improvement, establishes plans, and coordinates teams in achieving performance improvement for the assigned area of responsibility
- Manages multiple projects and can work at various levels of the organization
- Can manage large-scale projects through the entire project life cycle
- Has breadth of knowledge to acquire data, convert to information, and draw action plans and coach departments to their targets
- Assists in evaluation of operational needs; validates workflows, build, and configuration based on application requirements/ standards and serves as liaison between end users, third parties, and application staff. Analysis of application content and negotiation of any user requested modifications
- Analyze problems in terms of workflows/policies/procedures, Epic functionality, end-user knowledge, and training requirements
- Gather project requirements
- Construct SQL Queries
- Present data in Executive Dashboards & Operational Reports
QUALIFICATIONS
- Highly Organized
- Excellent written and verbal communications, presentation skills, and customer relationship skills
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
- Knowledge of Clinician and Business environments is highly desirable
- MS Office proficient
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- Healthcare or Regulatory Reporting
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, or other data visualization tools
- Certified in one or more Epic Modules required
