Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Patient and Family Centered Care, the Manager is responsible to provide day to day management of The Emily Center, and One Darn Cool School. The Manager is also responsible for supporting the planning, development and implementation of patient and family centered education for staff as identified by the Patient Experience Executive Committee. The manager will serve as a resource to patients, families and staff, as well as collaborate with organizational leaders to enhance the family-centered education resources available. This role is responsible for daily operations, budget management, staffing, patient safety, patient and family experience and performance improvement efforts.
Education
- Masters degree in nursing, healthcare administration, organizational leadership, or related field (Required)
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare (Required)
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience (Required)
- Patient experience or service excellence background (Preferred)
- Considerable administrative/supervisory experience in a pediatric
hospital is strongly desired (Preferred)
Special Skills
- Ability to develop strategies and build programs to support pediatric healthcare system needs (Required)
- Skills in managing and supervising personnel (Required)
- Skills in establishing interpersonal relationships (Required)
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions (Required)
- Demonstrated consultation, teamwork, and facilitation skills to unify stakeholders towards a common goal (Required)
- Demonstrated leadership ability and success managing change (Required)
- Skills in professional internal and external communications (Required)
- Demonstrated ability of successfully implement process improvement initiatives (Required)
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with physicians, staff, executives, and management of health care institutions and government. Able to gain trust and respect. (Required)
- Ability to communicate effectively and solid writing skills with an ability to write/edit all kinds of copy that clearly articulates the organization`s value to both internal and external audiences (Required)
- Operational knowledge of the health care industry and experience in and understanding of the continuum of care (Required)
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area and demonstrated computer skills (Required)
