Grace Hospice CEO
Grace hospice is a faith-based, nonprofit patient centered hospice organization with a strong patient base in the 7 county Minnesota Twin Cities area. We are hiring a CEO/President to lead our well-established Hospice organization. Our Hospice was built on the foundation of the original roots of the hospice movement: rich in spiritual, emotional and physical care of our patients and families. You must be an inspirational leader, continuing an environment and culture where staff and volunteers flourish. The culture speaks to excellence, teamwork and kindness. In this role, your responsibilities will encompass oversite of the program and services, strategic plan, budgets and operations. You will manage internal and external relationships and report to the board of directors.
CEO/President Responsibilities:
- Be accountable to the Governing Board for the overall leadership, management, performance, governance and development of Grace Hospice.
- Oversee the fiscal management of the Hospice, including budgeting, reporting and auditing
- Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations and act as an ambassador for the Hospice
- Work with the Board to develop and implement the strategic plan, ensuring alignment with Hospice’s short-term and long-term objectives
- Lead all operational and business activities to ensure effective, efficient and safe running of Hospice, meeting all clinical, statutory, financial, regulatory and legal requirements
- Work collaboratively with the Governing Board and Director Team to continuously improve services for patients and their families, responding to changing community needs and patient requirements
- Develop and sustain income streams and financial controls to provide ongoing financial security of Grace Hospice.
- Provide visionary leadership for Grace Hospice
- Build effective strategic partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders locally and nationally to improve end of life care
- Keep abreast of best practice in the hospice movement
- Develop and maintain the Grace culture where people feel motivated while promoting learning and development of staff and volunteers
- Lead and manage change effectively as required to enhance services and increase patient access within available resource
- Represent Grace Hospice effectively, building trust with key stakeholders and the media, corporate and individual supporters
- Lead and motivate the workforce to develop a high performing Director Team and advance employee engagement
- Lead annual fundraising and pubic relations events.
- Lead and coordinate development team and grant opportunities

Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or) health related field plus 5 years of executive leadership experience
Minimum of three years of experience working within a hospice and/or palliative care organization in a leadership role
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the functions of a hospice organization, Medicare rules and regulations, and State and Federal guidelines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve effectively with others
Able to work under challenging and stressful conditions
Ability to network in the community
