This position provides beauty and hair care services to residents at Denali Center.
About Fairbanks Denali CenterLocated next to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, Denali Center is a 90-bed comprehensive short and long-term care facility offering uniquely compassionate care to our adult patient population. Position Available:
Per Diem
Day
8 hours (preference for 1 day a week for 8 hours but flexibility available)
Responsibilities
- Provides haircuts, perms and hair coloring.
- Provides manicures and hand massages.
- Assists with resident transfers, repositioning, reseating in the beauty shop.
- Maintains working instruments in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Ensures appropriate safeguards to secure instruments, chemicals, and other supplies.
- May order, track, and maintain adequate product inventory.
- May assist with other resident activities as needed.
Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.
Qualifications
Licensure as required from the state.Must possess two years of experience. Must have knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local health regulations; strong interpersonal skills, must have the ability to work with and communicate with residents; ability to follow oral and written instructions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdditional related education and/or experience preferred.
