HCAI is looking for a Deputy Director, Health Workforce Development!
California’s Department of Health Care Access and Information’s (HCAI) mission is to expand equitable access to quality, affordable health care for all Californians through resilient facilities, actionable information, and the health workforce each community needs.
HCAI is looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about the opportunity to solve challenges around health workforce shortages and expand the numbers of health professionals serving marginalized communities and patients across California. The ideal candidate has executive-level experience in related organizations and can provide the leadership necessary to successfully innovate and effectively administer a multi-million-dollar portfolio of health workforce development programs. This multi-faceted professional has and will be able to make recommendations to internal and external stakeholders at the highest level of government and across the health care landscape. The successful candidate will be an expert in paying attention to detail and is able to review, analyze, and present relevant health care workforce information to the California Health and Human Services Agency, the Governor’s Office, the Legislature, and other key stakeholders. The incumbent must also demonstrate a commitment to building an inclusive work environment that promotes HCAI’s diversity, equity, and belonging goals where all team members can be appreciated and comfortable as their authentic selves.
