ResponsibilitiesAtlantic Health System is seeking an in-house legal intern to support the initiatives, activities, and priorities of the Legal Department. The successful candidate will gain experience in a wide range of legal, health care, and compliance issues. As a legal intern you will:
- Assist in health care contract/diligence review
- Work on legal department initiatives
- Perform legal analysis
- Attend department meetings
- Draft legal memos
Qualifications- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
- Ideally pursing a Law Degree (J.D.) with an interest in Health Law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be in good academic standing
- Proficient with Excel & Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills (Written & Verbal)
- Strong writing, research, editing and proofreading skills
- US Citizen or permanent resident
- Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
