Sidnae Global Research is a technical writing company that helps US-based healthcare and public health organizations seek and secure corporate, foundation and government grants.  We specialize in SAMHSA, CDC, HRSA, and the Administration for Children and Families. We are looking to contract with experienced, US-based freelance grant writers who can assist our public and private nonprofit customers with grant proposal development. 

As a Grant Writer-Independent Contractor, you will be involved in various aspects of proposal development which include:

• Being a leader and subject matter expert;
• Attending application webinars and planning meetings;
• Learning and participating in SGR’s project management process';
• Reviewing grant guidelines;
• Leveraging your expertise to inform Go/No Go Decisions;
• Assisting clients with program design and positioning;
• Researching funder’s giving history;
• Conducting source research to support case for funding;
• Preparing applications for submission using SGR’s style guide;
• Compiling required grant attachments;
• Editing grant documents and budgets;
• Uploading applications to grant funder application portals;
• Attending and/ or leading application planning meetings; and
• Attending 1-hour writing team meeting twice a month. 

We have an immediate need for independent contractor grant writers experienced in healthcare, public health, human services, and/or health equity programs.

This opportunity is perfect for professional business owners interested in growing their business through subcontracting. Our writing team collaborates to solve problems, and we respect the professional and lived experiences each person brings to the table. The independent contractor should have experience writing and/or reviewing government grant applications, be able to work with SGR's customers independently and deliver a high-quality end product. 

The independent contractor will work from their place of business, and provide their own systems and equipment. SGR uses Zoom, Asana, and Google Drive for collaboration. Selected candidates will need to provide business documents that demonstrate they operate an independent business in their state (LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp registration, Certificate of Good Standing, etc). 

Pay Range $60-65 USD p/ hour or per project
