Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time Patient Care Tech the Gastroenterology Department at at Atlantic Medical Group to work 8am-4:30pm. Must be willing to travel to our 3 locations in Morristown, Bridgewater, and Rockaway.

Essential Function/Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Technician I will manage phones, greet patients, schedule appointments, enter demographic & patient information, verify insurance coverage
• PCT will also accurately complete necessary forms, collect co-pays, balance cash, maintain schedule in EMR system, process precerts/authorizations & referrals as well as medical records releases, and other duties typical of a physician practice.

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum Experience:

• 3-5 years administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred

License/Certification:

• BLS required upon hire

Qualifications:

• Computer literacy essential
• Working knowledge of computerized scheduling and EMR system desired
• Strong customer service skills a must
• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate physicians schedules
