OverviewAtlantic Health System is seeking a Laboratory Intern. Do you want to work on meaningful and impactful projects that make a difference to the individual members of the surrounding communities?*?¯Are you looking for a program that will allow you to collaborate with healthcare leaders and fellow interns, while receiving training on the tools to succeed in the workforce? If this sounds exciting, then Atlantic Health System's 10-week summer internship program may be great for you!*?¯
Responsibilities- This internship will work within the Laboratory of Chilton Medical Center to assist the Medical Laboratory Scientists and other team members
- Work with Scientists on projects involving hands-on working in a laboratory computation or data analysis
- Under appropriate supervison and guiance assist in performing waived and non-waived testing, trouble-shooting equipment
Qualifications- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
- Be in good academic standing
- Studying coursework related to STEM, Medical Laboratory, Biology, Medicine etc.
- Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized
- Proficient in Excel (required)
- Team-oriented
- Ability to ask for help as needed
- Preferred but not required: experience handling patient samples
