Visit our website: USC Student Health ServicesThe Student Health Insurance Plan Coordinator will coordinate the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), ensuring compliance of all students that are required to have health insurance and assist students with enrollment and waiver procedures. Collaborates with other university departments to ensure the proper application of policies and procedures. Serves as the point of contact for students, parents, and plan carriers.The ideal candidate will have the ability to:· Apply mathematical concepts proficiently and prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.· Analyze data, perform multiple tasks and solve complex financial problems.· Communicate clearly and effectively. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.· Develop and maintain professional, service-oriented working relationships with patients, physicians, co-workers and supervisors.· Work effectively in a patient-centered team environment.· Understand and comply with policies and procedures.· Work independently in the absence of supervisor and willing to learn new systems and implement new processes in response to change or to improve functions within the department.· Adhere to the strictest of confidentiality standards including but not limited to HIPAA, FERPA (etc.).Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree and 1 year related experience in business, public administration or administrative services, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience; or equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year experience in the health insurance field.
