OverviewDo you want to work on meaningful and impactful projects that make a difference to the individual members of the surrounding communities?*?¯Are you looking for a program that will allow you to collaborate with healthcare leaders and fellow interns, while receiving training on the tools to succeed in the workforce? If this sounds exciting, then Atlantic Health System's 10-week summer internship program may be great for you!
Responsibilities- Includes interactions with Atlantic Visiting Nurse team members in an office and community setting.
- Working hand in hand with our visiting nurses to see patients in their home environment and help them towards their individual health goals.
- Working with our specialty programs, including Remote Patient Monitoring, Virtual Care, and Wound Program, which provide skilled consultations.
- These programs aim to reduce the risk of patients being re-hospitalized, while providing an elevated level of assessment and collaboration.
- Working with our office team members, who support the patient experience and provide daily oversight to workplace operations.
- Includes positive collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to report changes in the patient's condition and progress toward goals.
QualificationsEducation:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university studying Nursing
- Must be in good academic standing
- US Citizen or permanent resident
Qualifications:
- Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
- Extremely organized
- Proficient MS Suite
- Have an understanding of basic clinical knowledge/nursing
- Is curious and willing to learn
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
