JOB SUMMARY:

Serve as Harris Health System's main contact on patient right issues. Collaborates with staff to provide knowledge and understanding of patient rights issues and promotes overall compliance with complaint/grievance process to obtain resolution and maximize the patient experience, system-wide. Ensure that Harris Health System adheres to regulatory agencies standards that affect the rights of patients receiving mental health services. Partners with risk management to investigate alleged violations, collaborates with staff to resolve issues. Act as a liaison between Harris Health, regulatory agencies, patients and family to ensure responsiveness. Revises and updates system policies to ensure compliance with current patient rights guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors in Psychology, Social Sciences, Communication or related field required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

5 years of experience in healthcare or related field
