Carle Health is seeking an Assistant Medical Director to join Carle Richland Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Medicine department in Olney, Illinois.
Summary of key duties and responsibilities:
- This position will be .2FTE administration and .8 FTE clinical (5-5.5 shifts per month).
- All shifts are 24 hours.
- ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and NIHSS.
- Carle Richland Memorial Hospital (CRMH) is a 104-bed facility that offers a complete range of physician and medical services to a patient base of 109,000 people in the Southeastern Illinois region.
- The Emergency Department has 10 acute care beds with an average of 30-35 visits per day and a 6% admit rate.
- Work collaboratively with the Dyad Partner in establishing and accomplishing departmental goals and objectives in alignment with the Strategic Pillars and values of the organization.
- Share an expanding and collaborating vision with the Medical Director and other dyad leaders.
- Participate in change initiatives to continuously improve patient care and the service delivery model.
- Conduct routine rounding with staff physicians and cascade feedback up to Medical Director.
- Play a supervisory role by establishing and communicating expectations for performance and behaviors to emergency medicine team.
- Collaborate with the physician Practice Manager, Medical Director, and Operational/Administrative Dyad to ensure the prompt resolution of any physician/staff conflicts that arise and appropriately document the outcome.
- Proactively share best practices related to workflows, continuing education, engagement and patient satisfaction with fellow leaders and providers.
- Actively participate in the recruitment of new professional staff team members as well as the onboarding and off boarding process to ensure positive impressions of Carle are developed and/or maintained.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and hold an active Illinois Medical License in good standing.
- Previous leadership experience and 1 - 2 years of work experience as a Carle physician is preferred.
