Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Meridian, ID is seeking a Director Sourcing to join our Supply Chain team.
Unit/Position Summary:
The Director Sourcing is responsible for developing the sourcing strategy and overseeing the purchasing of supplies to support the health system. This role will lead the strategic direction and execution of the supplier strategy to optimize cost, performance,and quality.
Responsibilities
- Manages all distribution service-related sourcing of product(s) moving in or through the distribution center along with the relationships with internal/external customers, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracting and suppliers that make up the supply base.- Leads supply sourcing activities across procurement expenditure categories. Leads cross-functional sourcing team to establish, develop and implement multiple high complexity strategies.- Leads sourcing and procurement key performance indicators (KPI) reporting and leverages expertise to communicate short-and long-term strategy to executive leadership. Creates and oversees implementation of KPIs to ensure savings and lower cost of goods.- Subject matter expert for supply chain requirements to include regulatory, supplier capabilities and categorical decision making. - Manages high level supplier relationships and performance expectations. Develops key performance measures for suppliers and negotiates on multiple variables to establish longer-term strategic contracts.- Partners with appropriate internal leadership to ensure the Logistics Services Agreement is accurate and incorporated for all Consolidated Service Center suppliers.- Creates, implements, and maintains a sourcing and supplier management strategy by profiling current expenditures, understanding of group purchasing contracts, understanding of contracts in the marketplace, analyzing the distribution and logistics impact on supplier/product pricing. - With expert knowledge, oversees a variety of implications when bringing on a new supplier including but not limited to how the contractual obligations affect demand/supply and strategic bulk purchases. - Manages a team of sourcing managers responsible for executing all sourcing activities including request for proposals (RFPs), competitive auctions and maintaining supplier performance.- Responsible for full employment life cycle for staff to include hiring, termination, performance management, coaching, training, and mentoring to staff. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience: 10 years of relevant experience.
