The Compliance Auditor, Sr., Physician Billing is responsible for implementation of the Corporate Compliance Plan and ensures WakeMed Health & Hospitals is billing in accordance with federal and state regulations on facility documentation, coding, and billing. Works under direction of the Corporate Compliance leadership and functions at a high level of independence as to assigned projects while drawing on expertise and involvement of the team. Provides guidance to employees, serves as a department resource, and manages external vendors. Partners with hospital departments to analyze and resolve any coding or compliance related issues to minimize organizational risk. The position is responsible for individual projects and team projects as needed and must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The position manages and assigns all physician related work plan projects to team members. Ensures team members adhere to the defined audit timeline and audit standard work processes. Assists with development of the audit schedule; identifies services to be audited.Experience Requirements:
7 Years Auditing Or Compliance Or Accounting/Finance - Revenue Cycle Or Education - Teaching and Facilitation of Learning Or Process Improvement Required - And 8 Years Related Position Experience Preferred - And 13 Years Related Position Experience In Lieu of DegreeEducation Required:
Bachelor's Degree Business Administration Or Accounting Or Nursing Or Related Field RequiredLicensure/Certification Requirements:
