Who We Are Looking For?
We are actively seeking a Full-Time Coder responsible for review of accurate and timely assignment of ICD-10 CM/PCS, HCPCS/CPT codes, and Health and Behavior (H&B) coding. This role is responsible the purpose of training, education, compliance and reimbursement using billing and compliance guidelines. The coders review and assessment will validate provider coding and/or provide notification of identified errors across inpatient and outpatient settings within the Behavioral Health Service Line.

This position is open to flexibility regarding hours of operation. It offers potential remote options with a hybrid blend of virtual/on-site opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Review and assess patient medical records for appropriate CPT/ICD10/ Health and Behavior (H&B) coding and supporting documentation.
Notifies providers of missed, incomplete or incorrect service orders.
Identify, document and notify providers of incomplete charts.
Initiate follow-up activities verifying correction of errors.
Identify coding error trends enabling targeted provider education.
Assist with annual review of CPT/ICD10/H&B updates and implementation of identified changes.
Understands and complies with billing system and insurance company claim processing requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) completed through American Academy of Professional Coder required.
High School diploma or equivalent
At least 3 years of medical billing experience preferred.
