Significant opportunity to grow in Nursing Management
Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures in the Operating Room and Pain Center. Ensures operating suite is adequately prepared for procedure. Monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and Pain management supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments used in the OR and Pain Center. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
3-5 year surgery tech experience with complex cases.
Surgical Technician Certification required (within 6 months of hire) or verifiable hospital surgical tech experience prior to 1/1/2018.
Current BLS Certification.

Northern Nevada Health System is a regional multi-facility system that has excelled at offering quality care to residents of the greater Truckee Meadows. We have many locations across the region and in our rural communities. Northern Nevada Medical Center, a 124-bed acute care hospital in Sparks, is our flagship provider. A second hospital, Sierra Medical Center, opened in 2022. It is the first full-service hospital built in the region in over a century.
We also provide primary care services and a wide range of specialty care through Northern Nevada Medical Group. Our providers have locations throughout Reno, Sparks, Fallon and Bishop to serve the community. In addition, patients can receive a variety of outpatient surgical services at Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center.
