Summary:
The System Director is identified as a Nurse leader who provides effective and coordinated leadership for the delivery of nursing care to patients at CHRISTUS and is responsible and accountable to the Vice President, Chief Nursing Practice Officer for the overall management of nursing practice and nursing administration functions as assigned. The System Director works with regional clinical leaders to lead the development and implementation of clinical strategies, policies, and practices throughout the CHRISTUS Health system guided by High Reliability principles, to achieve nursing standardization, evidence-based practices, operational excellence, and optimal patient care performance.
Education:
- Master's Degree in nursing, education, strategic innovation, change management, organizational design, or related required.
Experience:
- Experience and knowledge in operational enhancement, performance improvement and change management.
- Demonstrated understanding of change management theories and principles.
Skills:
- A high level of interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy required to deal effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledgeable of health care professional education and continuing educational requirements.
- Knowledge of nursing and allied health standards of care and scope of practice.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of clinical care processes across all nursing clinical disciplines in the continuum of care and demonstrated expertise in the application of clinical technology to these processes.
- Knowledge of computer programs such as: Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Fluency in oral and written English required.
- Fluency in oral and written Spanish preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Current RN license in Texas.
- Prosci certification preferred.
- Applicable professional certification(s) preferred.
