Position Information: Reporting to the Vice President, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer, the Director leads the Corporate Compliance Department at WakeMed Health & Hospitals. This Department is charged with developing, implementing, and maintaining WakeMed?s comprehensive Corporate Compliance program. This Program establishes standards and procedures for all WakeMed team members to follow in order to promote compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. This Department is also responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and updating the Program as necessary to conform to the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General and Department of Justice requirements for effective compliance programs, as well as changes in the healthcare regulatory and business environment.The Director is responsible for identifying and assessing areas of compliance risk for WakeMed; communicating the importance of the compliance program to the executive management and the Board of Directors; preparing and distributing the written Code of Ethics; setting forth the ethical principles and policies that are the basis of the compliance program; developing and implementing education programs addressing compliance and the Code of Ethics; implementing a retaliation-free internal reporting process, including an anonymous reporting system; and collaborating with executive management to effectively incorporate the compliance program within system operations and programs and to carry out the responsibilities of the position.The Director is also responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors, CEO, and/or Vice President, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer. #LI-POST
Experience Requirements: 3 Years Investigations And Compliance And Related Position Experience Required - And Healthcare Administration Preferred
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree Related Field Required - And Master's Degree Preferred
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Certified in Healthcare Compliance Preferred
