Job Summary
High Cardiovascular (CV) volume facility needs an individual to perform primary data abstraction and process improvement duties for clinical data registries. Requires high level of abstraction accuracy for assigned accounts through routine validation activities and response to productivity reports. Must demonstrate strong communication, documentation, organization and time-management skills in order to ensure strong registry management.
Essential Function of This Role
Responsible for the accurate, complete and timely entry of data into a registry/vendor tool
Collects preoperative, intraoperative, and follow-up data components for the program through the effective utilization of the hospital medical record systems.
Identifies streamlining and process improvement opportunities in the data collection process
Maintain accuracy threshold of greater than or equal to 95 percent.
Maintain open communication with team members and key stakeholders
Develops and disseminates ongoing information/adjudications to medical staff, clinical staff and leaders
Participate in Quality Improvement Projects
Ability to cross train and participate in contingency plans

- EDUCATION - Associate's or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
