Job Summary
Responsible for the oversight of all functions within the Duke Regional Hospital Admissions, Outpatient, and Emergency Department, as well as the Davis Ambulatory Surgery Center (DASC) and serve as a member of the Service Access management team. The position must align with the vision, values, and expectations of the Duke University Health System.
Provide direction for the division. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Promote and emulate a patient-centric and customer service focus within the division. Develop the departmental operating budget and goals. Responsible for the financial, customer service, and productivity performance of the division. Proactively monitor, analyze and manage reports and all related documents. Ensure the division is integrated with other departmental areas.
Develop the division's operational policies, procedures standards, and expectations, providing clear opportunities to meet or exceed the entity's balanced scorecard objectives. Conduct performance reviews of direct reports; develop and mentor direct reports and staff. Participate in community and agency events. The Patient Revenue Manager will lead our Admissions, Outpatient, Emergency Department, and DASC under the auspices of Hospital Service Access, Patient Revenue Management Organization. The top candidate should be highly motivated and possess relevant PatientAcc ess/Registration experience utilizing an EPIC platform, preferably in a diverse academic setting with a consistently high volume of patients.
Daily responsibilities include attracting and retaining high-caliber talent, communicating effectively and in a variety of settings, developing supervisory staff for further growth and accountability, managing HR-related opportunities, as well as promoting a positive working environment. A proven track record of leading a team with the achievement of high patient satisfaction metrics and top point-of-service collections is desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree required. A masters' degree is preferred.
Experience
Work requires 5 years of experience in business or other applicable experience. A master's degree in a related field, such as business or health administration, may be substituted for experience on a 1:1 basis.
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Certifications in patient access or patient accounting are preferred.
