PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists IS managers in conducting special studies intended to improve the performance of the department and customers.
- Coordinates and integrates multiple related projects that share key personnel and infrastructure resources. Takes primary responsibility for adjusting schedules and for identifying and resolving priority conflicts. Ensures that the changes and upgrades maintain and enhance the entire suite of supported applications.
- Demonstrates compliance with Christiana Care center and departmental policies and procedures and mandatory education requirements including but not limited to safety, infection control, attendance and dress code
- Generates basic automation ideas which increase system performance and system availability and which allow the company to save valuable time and resources.
- Identifies and implements basic ideas, techniques, interfaces, software and processes in order to continually build and engineer additional opportunities of the automation of computer system operations and resources.
- Identifies and pursues opportunities for continuing professional development to increase understanding of assigned areas, computer technology and other relative areas. Investigates and studies new and developing technologies in order to determine their potential value and applicability within the infrastructure.
- Installs and maintains basic systems software which is used for the automated management of computer system operations, resources and processes.
- Investigates and studies basic new and developing technologies in order to determine their potential value and applicability within the infrastructure.
- Is self-motivated to learn and apply the internal workings of computer systems software and how it can efficiently manage system resources, operations and process across multiple platforms.
- Maintains good communications at all times. Provides technical assistance, support, training and guidelines for Information Services staff in the efficient and effective use of computer resources.
- Participates on Information Services teams for the identification, coordination and implementation of automation activities.
- Provides high level troubleshooting and basic problem determination. Uses both breadth and depth of technical knowledge to assist other department personnel in the identification and resolution of particularly difficult technical problems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding of security tool (Tenable and ServiceNow) that identifies the vulnerability
- Strong programming skills with an understanding of ServiceNow SecOps module, Powershell and vb scripting.
- Ability to gather information regarding the deployment processes around SCCM.
- Ability to help drive and track the effort for remedying security vulnerabilities.
- Excellent soft skills required to help move along the process when other are involved with other key initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- A minimum of four years experience in systems engineering work is required.
- Should be functioning without close supervision immediately.
