Position Summary: This position is a team member working under the direction of the Program Manager Cardiac Cath / Electrophysiology Labs to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and wellbeing of the patient and family. The technologist is responsible for providing technical support during a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures. This is a technical level position requiring a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of delivering care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include physicians and patients.
An Electrophysiology Technologist will be competent and skilled in the areas listed below. Ongoing training opportunities will be provided by the Pulse Heart Institute to increase skills in specialty areas.
Minimum Requirements: Puget Sound EP Tech I: Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) registry as a standard for care provision, previous experience and RCES registry or commitment to obtain within 6 months of employment Puget Sound EP Tech II: IBHRE endorsed certificate, Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) Inland Northwest EP Tech I: Inland Northwest EP Tech II: Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) registry as a standard for care provision, previous experience and RCES registry Inland Northwest EP Tech III: IBHRE endorsed certificate, Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS)
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Current Washington State radiologic technologist or a cardiovascular invasive specialist certificate Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R) Current AHA, BLS and ACLS CPR certifications at time of hire
