Schedule: 2 x 7a-730p shifts and 2 x 7a-330p shifts
SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Supports Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software related to patient care delivery, registration, scheduling and billing. Partners with clinical, revenue cycle, and operational support staff to develop, implement and maintain software solutions to support optimal care delivery and healthcare operations.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES- Technical communication
Communicate system updates, changes, and new functionality to users throughout the medical center.- On-site Support
Responsible for on-site user assistance with system navigation, troubleshooting of clinical application software. Model proper use of clinical information systems in a way that ensures quality patient care outcomes, integrating clinical knowledge base.- Technical support
Log and/or establish work-around for issues where needed, and follow-up with both the end-users and third-level support to ensure that the issue is resolved utilizing clinical, critical-thinking skills.- Incident Management
Ensure outstanding end-user support is provided, including ongoing monitoring of Service Level Agreements for incident management and collaboration with other areas to ensure customer-centered incident management and support. Adhere to and promote change management policies and procedures. Model outstanding customer service behavior, including timely and effective follow-up with customers.- System knowledge & impact
Mastery of the current clinical information systems, the CSS role and clinical workflows throughout the medical center.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:- Associate's degree in related field or equivalent
- 3-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Clinical licensure (e.g. RN, RT)
Preferred:- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Current License to practice in the State of Ohio
- Pediatric clinical experience within a complex medical center
