ProPath is a nationwide, physician-led, established, and successful anatomic and clinical pathology group and a member of Sonic Healthcare USA. We are seeking an exceptional Staff Accountant to join our thriving practice. The ProPath practice alone has over 50 physicians and nearly 550 team members while Sonic Healthcare USA has over 300 physicians and nearly 8,000 team members. This is the largest physician-led pathology practice in the country.
The Staff Accountant provides management with critical financial support by preparing journal entries, researching and analyzing, and interpreting general ledger account activity and variances, assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reporting, reconciling account balances, maintaining fixed asset ledgers, and supporting various accounting projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Preparation of monthly journal entries (recurring and non-recurring), including cost allocations, reclasses, intercompany, amortization of assets, etc.
- Preparation of detailed account reconciliations - bank/cash, client, vendor General Ledger, cash receipts, payroll, and other journal entries.
- Processing and reconciliation of fixed asset transactions.
- Support cash collection functions by providing reconciliation assistance and reporting.
- Preparation of all reconciliations and year-end work papers pertaining to fixed assets and communication with external accountants on any related variances.
- Review of employee expense reports for policy compliance.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
A College degree in accounting is required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Proficiency with major ERP programs and Microsoft Office.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one-year of related experience.
