Develops the Revenue Cycle Special Projects Office strategic direction in support of the Revenue Cycle and organization's strategic plan, ensuring tactical objectives are obtained. Focusing on developing a Revenue Cycle Special Projects function and a Revenue Cycle PMO governance structure for the entry, tracking, and reporting of all Revenue Cycle projects capturing monetary, manpower, demographics, risk, user sponsorship, etc.
Develops and enforces appropriate methodology, tools and templates for documenting, tracking, and reporting Revenue Cycle projects, requests, and ongoing Revenue Cycle project support.
A consistent set of tools and processes that include a methodology to provide an overall risk score for each project.
Identifies Revenue Cycle Special Project best practices.
Development of Revenue Cycle project management status and dashboards in support of ongoing management of projects and in support of Leadership Teams and other leadership teams decision-making.
Responsible for specific project organization, scheduling, and coordination with Revenue Cycle Special Projects.
Maintains in-depth knowledge of departmental workflows.
Maintains appropriate level of technical expertise of Information Technology.
Responsible for vendor management, which includes but is not limited to, contract negotiations, invoice reconciliation, release updates, issues lists, and new product evaluations for the Revenue Cycle Special Projects office.
Makes time and cost estimates, develops realistic schedules, assigns projects, monitors, controls and ensures that appropriate project control mechanisms are in place for the Revenue Cycle Special Projects Office.
Reviews work of various levels of personnel to ensure satisfaction of design specifications, project objectives, and adherence to development of standards in all phases of development from planning through ongoing maintenance.
Performs personnel review and evaluation function for salary administration, training and promotion.
Responsible for staff recruitment, staff development, and disciplinary action as needed.
Reports project progress and activity, including abnormal problems and situations, to management designee.
Develops measures to implement projects within budget and time projections.
Investigates new technology developments in hardware, software, and techniques of the industry as appropriate.
Prepares periodic budget and adherence for the department.
