The Client Desktop Engineer I provides Tier II Client Desktop administration and support in a health care setting such as supporting PC and printer hardware, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals and during business hours will be the onsite first responder for network, wi-fi and telecom outages/performance issues and will work closely with the network/telecom team to diagnose issues. The engineer seeks to understand and address customer needs and expectations through effective communication and collaboration and works independently resolving intermediate support issues and requests and escalates complex issues to more senior members of the team to ensure timely resolution. In addition, the engineer coordinates the operational role for IT client technology projects and works closely with the IT construction project managers and the director of client technology. The engineer conducts research on new technologies as requested and understands ethernet topology and IP communications, develops and maintains educational and training material for clinical staff, ensures that inventory is managed routinely and consistently, performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested and works independently without a manager at a hospital site. *Not remote eligible - must reside in CO.*What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:* High School Diploma/G.E.D. required* Preferred: Associates OR Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics* 2+ years of technical support experience required, preferably in a healthcare environment supporting 20,000+ pcs.* Customer service training/experience with relevant certifications is highly desirable.* Strong technical, analytical, communication and customer service skills. Confident knowledge of current network protocols, operation systems and standards.* Ability to utilize coordinated processes to provide high quality systems, infrastructure, and technology support.* General understanding of technologies and troubleshooting process.* Ability to work an on-call 24x7 support on a rotational basis, required.
