Summary: Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of the Patient Financial Service Department. Serves as the director for Billing, Collections, Patient Financial Services, Cash Posting Contract Management, and Management of the Charge Master.
Other information: Five years progressive management experience in healthcare. Experience in healthcare related to revenue cycle, billing, collections, patient accounting, contract management, reimbursement and Charge Master Management. Demonstrated emotional maturity and stability. Demonstrates commitment to quality patient care, safety, customer service and fiscal responsibility.
Responsibilities: Coordinates all aspects of the Billing, Collections, Patient Financial Services, Cash Posting, Contract Management, Charge Master Management and other support activities directly affecting the components of the Revenue Cycle processed by Patient Business Services team members. Interacts with Hospital Management, Directors, Coordinators and staff in problem resolution and team building. Manages the operational functions of Billing, Collections, Patient Financial Services, Cash Posting, Contract Management, Charge Master Management and other support activities directly affecting the components of the Revenue Cycle processed by Patient Business Services team members. Functions as the Team Leader in the identification and resolution of problems affecting the efficiency of the Revenue Cycle through participation in hospital committees to include leadership of the Revenue Cycle Steering Committee. Works with hospital directors and upper management in process improvement as it relates to the Revenue Cycle. Ensures that the Charge Master is updated and reviewed by Department Directors and/or outside auditing firm on an regular basis. Analyzes the financial impact on the medical center when changes in reimbursement regulations or pricing occurs. Ensures the CDM meets all reimbursement and regulatory requirements. Monitors the productivity of the various functions of Patient Business Services through use of industry standards and Best Practices benchmarking. Works with Coordinators to implement best practice processing as it relates to the revenue cycle. Performs and assists in financial analysis of reimbursement regulations and process changes to ensure compliance and efficiencies in day to day operations.
